You’ve said your past drug use had nothing to do with your “idyllic” childhood and I’ve wondered if there were something that affected you that you didn’t remember/didn’t want to remember. Maybe your dad’s trauma had more effect than you recognize. Or maybe not — just something to think about. In any case, your dad sounds awesome.
