You're not alone AT ALL. People are changing in ways I do not like. We need to hang tightly to our inner circle but we need to make a conscioius choice to help others, too. If you read accounts of times like WWII, there are so many stories of one person who helped another and made all the difference. When there's not enough food, some people who have enough will take others' wedding rings and such for a pile of potatoes. Others will share what they have. Be the second kind of person.
