You can tell the difference at a glance if you break a "standard" egg into a bowl with one of these. A couple of times, I couldn't get the good ones and reluctantly bought the standard. Broke the last good one into a bowl and broke a couple of standard ones into the same bowl and was blown away.

I have the old Lodge pans (inherited) but the sides are high and it was frustrating to make a good omelet in them. I almost never purchase anything but groceries, toiletries. etc. Spending money is very hard for me. But I do not regret this splurge at all!
