Yes! I live in the oldest part of my city, near a historical marker noting the location of the first (white) homestead. Of course, there was a tribe of native Americans already living nearby. My neighborhood is sort of sandwiched between the old downtown and the street where the first wealthy people built homes; most older cities will have this kind of neighborhood. And in many places, it’s a cheap and quiet place to live!
