What is your deal? Why are you turning this into a partisan complaint? Nowhere in this piece did I say the Dems have all the answers -- I hate the GOP due to their licking of the madman Trump's boots, but I certainly don't think just passively voting for Dems is the only thing we need to do.

I'll tell you exactly what I'm trying to do: I am trying to wake people up and realize they are being exploited by those in power. Right now, a lot of Americans think they can succeed if they just work harder, and they join the powerful in blaming other poor and lower-middle-class folks for not being able to do better.

When everybody at every financial level acknowledges that our system is unfair and agrees we need to move toward more of a meritocracy, plus a meaningful and dignified safety net for those in need, I'll stop writing stuff like this and will go back to writing pieces about my dogs.
