We started tearing out our kitchen just before my career ended. When it became clear we’d have to figure out how to do it ourselves with no money, that’s what we did. It took a long time. The stove was in the parlor. You could look down and see the ground because we put down a new floor. We LOVE the results and everyone exclaims when they see it the first time.
