We need more therapists.

Psychiatrists usually just handle the meds. Therapists do the actual therapy.

My daughter is one. It's not very well-paid and she will be chipping away at her student loans forever. She initially wanted to be a teacher, and would be far ahead financially if she'd taken that path, but this is what she wanted to do.

If we want more therapists, we need to pay them better and maybe do something about the student loan crisis.
