Very odd, until you realize the people who become most upset whenever you mention that breastfeeding is the biological norm are the women who truly wanted to nurse but could not for some reason. Women who chose to bottle feed honestly are unperturbed. It’s painful to want to nurse and then to not be able to. Took me a while to figure this out — I initially thought the people who would be upset would be the moms who never gave nursing a try and felt guilty that they chose formula. It’s the opposite.
