Unusual things about me:

1. I used to have a home business selling breast pumps, nursing bras and slings, etc. I called it The Nursing Nook.

2. I dislike TV and very seldom watch any.

3. I still subscribe to two newspapers (I was a print journalist for 30 years, so yeah).

4. I dug a goldfish pond in my backyard by myself about a decade ago and now I have good-sized goldfish in there. I bought the feeder fish for .99/dozen. All the babies they've had are ugly and colorless.

5. In 2004, a couple of years after my divorce, I met a Dutch man who was visiting the U.S. and knew immediately I would marry him. Two years later, he moved here so we could get married.

6. I bake all my own bread.

7. I write romance novels under a pen name.

8. I drink at least a dozen glasses of water a day, often much more.

9. I look better old and gray than I did middle-aged with dyed hair. In my opinion, anyway.

10. I absolutely cannot dance, find my way around or write legibly.
