Too Much Money Is as Dangerous as Too Little

Like drugs or poison, money in excess destroys lives

Some things keep us alive in small doses but poison us in large ones: vitamin A, water and even oxygen. Money is the same way.

We all need money to live, but there comes a point when excess money causes real harm both to those who have it and to the society they live in.

Billionaires bankroll both parties

The uber wealthy have almost complete control over our political and financial systems. Control one and you can control the other — and everything else. They control the propaganda machines and hire accountants to write loopholes into our tax laws.

They’ve amassed so much power that we have no good way to fight back. (There’s still one bad way and you know what it is, Luigi. It’s in everyone’s interest that we fix things before we start reenacting the French Revolution.)

These are people who have so much money they couldn’t spend it all in multiple lifetimes, but the rest of us are being flogged to work harder to create more and more wealth and to funnel more and more of it upward. We don’t even think about the fact that when we take out student loans or have an expensive medical procedure this is…
