This somewhat enrages me. Jesus F. Christ. I make better choices than this every day, but am fatter. I rarely drink alcohol. I drink large amounts of water and have one cup of coffee a day, rarely anything else. I eat a maximum of two meals a day, do not snack at all, and only eat a sugary treat if there’s a birthday or major holiday, etc. Most of my meals are built around vegetables and beans, as my spouse is a vegetarian and I cook for him. I have tried every approach, from a rigid, authoritarian eating plan to just eating what seems reasonable to me. I gained a lot of weight when I stopped worrying and tried to eat intuitively, so now I’m trying the opposite, a rules-heavy eating plan. My rules are to eat one or two meals per day, making them nutrient-dense and healthy things. Typical meals are black bean loaf and a side of roasted cauliflower, or salad with a variety of raw vegetables, or a plain acorn squash or sweet potato topped with chili, or a cucumber with hummus. Some days I feel OK with one meal, but other days, I am too hungry and eat the second one, but I keep my eating to an eight-hour window. Motherf*ck! If I ate the way this guy recommends, I’d top 300 pounds in six months. Seriously. Is it REALLY this easy for this guy to lose weight? He barely puts any effort into it. So irritating, because the common perception is that fat people sit around eating bags of chips all day. If it were as easy to lose weight as this guy suggests, none of us would be fat. I am having a hard time believing the weight fell off him as he describes when he’s barely making any effort compared to the people I know who are trying their asses off.
