This IS with an independent agent, and a flurry of recent quotes are comparable. It’s a ripoff for sure. I’m right in the not-so-sweet spot of owning a house slightly more expensive than one could simply shrug if something happened but not such an investment that one can justify expensive coverage: I’m paying expensive coverage for a dirt cheap house. It’s not dirt cheap to me, but it is in comparison to the crazy prices most pay.
