My intention for writing this was to share some humor and allow you to live vicariously through my unfortunate, but funny story of trying to avoid Amazon. However, my intention for writing this has changed. Now my intent with sharing this story is to show in real time how someone who is convinced of something can change their mind when new information is learned. I actively seek to challenge my wisdom, indoctrination and long held ideals. I recommend it. I also want to remind myself of the human element amongst the chaos. My stupid laptop riser holds no importance to someone who is living through a god damned war right now. The only thing that seems like the next right thing to do is to let him keep my money and not hassle him about his attempt to make a living in a difficult environment because he needs it more than me right now.
