This is one reason why I don't have an EV: I'm frankly nervous about them. (The other reason is I'm trying to make a living as a writer.) I have an old car that I'm actually considering putting thousands of dollars into to keep it running. I could, of course, instead save that money to eventually purchase an inexpensive used EV. It's hard to know which direction to go. I hate how much power the few have over the many in this regard. I think we're all one click from electronic slavery.
