BTW, I bought N95s a year BEFORE the pandemic, because I read somewhere (very possibly in the NYT but I don't remember) that we were due for a pandemic and that having masks on hand would be a good idea. I felt sort of stupid buying a whole box of the things. But a year later, I didn't feel stupid anymore.
