This is an interesting reply. You are assuming she never told her husband that he needs to change, although she clearly states she’s begged him to change. You assume she needs his money, although she doesn’t. You assume she had a child to trap him, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
I know someone who was in a similar situation. He couldn’t get his wife to make necessary changes so he planned to divorce. He waited for more than a decade, and finally did when the time was right (based on their children). All that time, his then-wife had everything her way and didn’t want to change anything. Then she was somehow surprised when he divorced her. The now-ex never knew he had an AP, but she provided life support for years. The ex-wife is lonely. He’s living his best life. I’ve never seen him so happy.
