This happened to me after 15 years of marriage. Why did I want him to stay? Because I still loved him (then) and we had two children and a whole life. It was shocking. I will never, ever know what happened. But I'll never forgive him. He didn't just hurt me, he hurt out children. Fortunately, I found a better and more trustworthy man to love my children and me.
