There is NOTHING “natural” about having a period every month. Until modern times, women had a few periods, got pregnant, nursed a baby for several years, had a few periods, got pregnant again, repeat, repeat, repeat. For the vast majority of us who don’t want to spend our entire life pregnant and/or nursing, it might be more “natural” to suppress menstruation hormonally. (Before anyone mentions that you can menstruate and thus get pregnant while nursing, there’s a huge difference in the breastfeeding patterns of today — bottles and pacifiers and babies sleeping separately from their mother will not suppress your period for long, if at all.)
