There are a few writers who report they are earning more. So far, in my experience, it's the newbies. I think Medium is prioritizing paying more to new writers. I suppose it makes sense: Get new writers to post like hell, and then even when you eventually cut their earnings and they stop writing, you have their copy forever. A fresh new face will pop up to take their place, and Medium will pay that FNF enough to motivate them. Medium probably hopes many established writers will continue writing for enjoyment or because they really hope to regain their lost earnings. And they may be right. I'm still here, hoping against hope to be paid again -- for now. I'm not going to continue if things don't improve.
