Nazis Are the Pedophiles of International Politics
Internet trolls, Putin followers and Trumpers all use the same method to vilify their opponents.
The go-to insult of your basic internet troll/Trumper is “pedophile.” What insult could be worse? For most of us, our attempts to engage with a Trumper end the moment that insult is hurled out.
Putin uses the same method, only instead of “pedophile,” he uses “Nazi.”
Same theory, though. “Nazi” works better as an international insult, as it’s marginally more believable that an entire nation is composed of/led by Nazis than child molesters.
There are some terms so utterly revolting that no decent person can stand even the accusation. You can call me stupid or ugly or misguided or almost anything else and I can let it roll off my back. Call me a libtard and I laugh.
But accuse me of harming a child? No. My soul can’t handle that.
Trumpers don’t just attack random strangers online, though. They claim public figures are pedophiles, too.
