The problem for some of us is this: I quite happily put my focus on the kids and I’d do it again. I stayed home for a few years, and then I returned to work, but we prioritized his career. I was a newspaper journalist and he was a teacher. Then he left the marriage. He made really good money teaching ($95K-plus his final year) while I have never made very much. He’s set. I am far from it.
