The other example I like is ulcers. Certain experts knew you could easily treat them with antibiotics and a pepto-bismal-like drug. But doctors routinely ignored this and continued prescribing bland diets for years. And then there’s routine infant circumcision…. Oh, man. You should never have gotten me started!
