That’s not fair.

…such a thing. I reject the very notion that we would do such a thing today. In the 1950s? Probably. White people were just learning to cook for themselves. Anything is possible. But not today.

That’s not fair. I can’t speak for the south, but I grew up not knowing even one person who had household help. People cooked for themselves.
