That’s a very different situation, though. You’re talking about women who require services to get away from an abuser. I agree we need to expend more resources to help those women. What I’m saying is women now can work and support themselves. A couple of generations ago, it was nearly impossible for most women to make enough money to raise children independently. That has now changed. Women have many more opportunities for education and careers now.
