Sure, they have so much “stuff,” but I don’t know any childless people whose home is littered with baby blankets, onesies, car seats, baby socks, etc. You don’t need a bunch of crap but you do need clothing, diapers, blankets etc. I am happy to buy something for the baby. You don’t have to go if you don’t want to. My kids are in their 30s and I still smile remembering the meaningful gifts some people gave,
