Spring Is Coming Just In Time

Sometimes you just really need a warm, sunny day

I think everyone’s mood is affected by the weather. Mine sure is.

I detest cold, ice and snow. Even the idea of a ski vacation sounds horrible to me because it would involve voluntarily going out into the snow. I don’t even like to watch movies with snowy settings. No, I’m not joking.

I’m always cold.

Even my body temperature is colder than normal — when it gets up to 98.6, I’m already feverish. I wish there were a way to turn up my inner thermostat.

A few times, I’ve had an opportunity to escape Illinois winter for a week or two, and honestly, it makes a huge difference to my mental health to bathe myself in warm sunshine sometime in January or February. It holds me over until I can get nice weather at home.

I can’t do that anymore, so I have to wait for spring to show up.

Spring is a tease. You will think you can see her coming up the sidewalk, but when you look again, she’s gone.

I want to start planting things.

I tend to jump the gun every year because I’m so anxious to put winter behind me.
