Sharing Stats Is The Writer’s Equivalent of Lifting My Shirt

I’m becoming quite the exhibitionist in my old age. Several times in 2023, I posted pictures of my breasts. I wrote and posted a story written under the influence of opioid pain pills hours after undergoing a lumpectomy. So if I can show everyone my grandma breasts, why would I be shy about sharing my income?
I’m not.
In 2023, I got pretty damned comfortable with flashing y’all.
So I’m going to keep it up by telling you how many views and reads I got and how much money I made. If you’re a Medium writer, you may be interested in studying how what I’m doing is working or is not working.

I got 15 Boosts in 2023.
But much of my best work did not get Boosted. In fact, some of my very best work was passed by. Some of the stories I got Boosted for I didn’t think were anything special. This is all subjective, so you can be the judge.
