Poor is relative, but in this country we have a bad attitude about poverty. We treat poor people as if they were second class. Also, I can look at the Netherlands and say they have it so much better than we do ... We can still note that we are being screwed even if we can find others who are screwed much worse.

Also worth noting: There is PLENTY of wealth in this country, but we've chosen to let it all collect in a few pockets instead of setting up a system in which everyone would benefit.
