Please write more about this!

The Americans talk a great game about anybody being able to achieve the American Dream, but it's bullshit. We are among the developed countries in which children are LEAST able to improve their socioeconomic standing.

Yes, running a newsroom was stressful, but I loved doing it and will never stop missing that. Having this platform makes up for it a bit.

The majority of Americans loathe Trump, but he got elected thanks to our weird electoral college system. He won big amongst the poorly educated, the racists, the evangelical Christians and the gun nuts. Everyone I know flinches at the sound of his voice; we react as if we just saw a rat. If I hear his voice on the radio, I turn it off. I really can't stand to listen; it makes me feel nauseated.

Oh, and YES, half of Americans are poor. I think of America as a poor country that only talks about its rich people. This is a country with great income inequality. Half of us are poor and a few are wealthy. There's a small middle class and then there are the filthy stinking rich billionaires.
