Ooh, ooh, I just started doing this! You twist your long hair up into a knot and work the pencil through it, weaving in and out a bit, and it holds. I was so pleased with myself I went to show it off to my husband, who feared I'd stab him by accident with the sharp end of the pencil. I see now I should use a chopstick. :)
