One of my daughter’s friends had an American Girl doll. They’re nice, and I wanted one for my daughter (born in 1989) but by the time I could afford one, she was way past dolls and ready to have real babies. Now I have a granddaughter who loves dolls — but again, these dolls are too expensive for ordinary people to purchase.
