OK, this reminds me of the time my daughter told her first lie. I walked into the kitchen. She had stacked things against the lower cabinets so she could get on the counter. She was standing on the breadbox and reaching on her tippy toes to the high shelf where I kept chocolate chips, marshmallows, etc. She saw me, dropped down, opened the bread box and said, "I was looking for the bread."
Don't worry. She is now a 30-something mom of two and very honest. :)
(I wasn't a big punisher. I believe more in loving them very much and setting good examples.)
