No problems here. My first husband (the father to my two children) left in 2002. I remarried in 2006. We finished raising the kids as a team. The bio dad was in the picture and saw the kids on a standard schedule, but we did not interact with him for good reasons. All worked out very well. My children's lives -- not just my own -- were greatly enhanced by my husband, their stepdad.
