No. 1 remarried and is still married to her -- he had to retire early to take care of her, as she can't be left alone. He has plenty of money (teacher retirement in Illinois is quite generous) but I don't envy his life and he does not enjoy the same relationship with our kids that I do. He perhaps should have considered the fact that when you do things that negatively affect your former partner, you are probably also negatively affecting your minor children and they are apt to remember.
