My old cops and courts reporter is a top romance novelist. That’s why I gave it a try. Mine sold decently but not well enough for me to stick to it after the second series. Ultimately, writing romance was not for me, and “Trailer Park” sells better than my romance novels did. They’re still out there and sell a few copies.
I wrote romance because I assumed I’d never be able to make anything on non-genre novels.
