My husband took off work today to drive me to the hospital for a biopsy. It was a gnarly one — very painful. All day I’ve stayed in bed and he’s divided his time between bringing me fresh ice packs, drinks and snacks and painkillers and catching up on household chores, and cuddling me. Do not marry anyone who wouldn’t do this. And of course, be willing to do the same.
