My friend Berlin came over when my daughter and her kids were visiting for the weekend. My daughter and granddaughter and I were doing a sewing project together. Berlin and her fiancé brought a shirt that needed a button sewn on. SHE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DO IT! I tried to teach her but I ended up essentially doing it.
My 9-year-old granddaughter can operate the sewing machine. My daughter is teaching the kids life skills, thank goodness. It seems like few are doing so.
