My daughter's spouse transitioned from male to female during my daughter's pregnancy with their second child. I've had to learn a lot very quickly. It's very much a new world. It isn't easy for anyone, but I do think about what life was like until quite recently -- all these people keeping such a tremendous secret to themselves, and even their spouses (usually) not knowing such a huge fact.
