My career was ruined in 2015. Slightly different story, in that the media imploded via greedy hedge funds and the internet ruining the business model. Result was the same, though — valuable work that benefited society stopped being done. You’re still young enough to retrain, although it will not be easy. Nobody would hire me because I seemed too old to them. Please don’t wait to change careers!
