Maybe you just need to give yourself some grace because you're grieving. It's OK not to be OK right now.

But also, think about just carrying fresh fruit with you. Maybe an already-peeled boiled egg if you like those. A small bag of nuts or even trail mix (made yourself to avoid the crap, and pre-portioned so you don't eat it all, if you're like me and would eat it all.)

We do the egg thing a lot around here. The rare times my husband does not eat all the mashed potatoes, I heat it up and slide a medium egg over it and it's heavenly. I add cheese to mine -- even more heavenly.

Think about all the stuff that doesn't need to be cooked. Or, on the weekend make a big batch of banana bread (pumpkin bread, whatever) and freeze it in small portions so you can take it with you. That's not a bad breakfast.
