It's always depressing to read these stories about people who "effortlessly" lost large amounts of weight. Often, they disclose they ate mind-boggling amounts of horrific food and then began eating just a little better and saw amazing results. I remember my obstetrician telling me during my pregnancy with my now-32-year-old daughter that I should lay off the fast food because I was gaining too much weight. I was eating zero fast food because I couldn't afford such a splurge. I struggle to keep my weight where it is (nowhere near my ideal ) with a diet that is far stricter than that of most people who weigh much less than I do. I probably eat fast food about three times a year. That's also about how often I eat sweets. I eat lots of vegetables. I walk my dogs daily. In the summer I ride my bike around 10 miles several times a week. I'm still a lot heavier than is ideal! I have to stop reading other people's stories of "I just made a couple of easy fixes and now I'm all better!"
