It was certainly about clothing. You aren't showing disrespect to others by wearing jeans. Gabbing on your phone, refusing to wear a mask during a pandemic, eating during a performance, etc. ... those are all disrespectful. As long as I'm covered up, I'm not disrespecting anybody. I actually do try to dress well in public. But that's not for others. It's my personal choice.
