If you truly believe most rich people today earned their money instead of inheriting it, I suggest you do just a tiny bit of research. Thank you.

People do not go to nice restaurants just to eat. You can, as you note, eat anywhere, including at home. People go to nice restaurants for the experience.

I’m sick of loud, casual restaurants that are all hard angles with lousy acoustics. I long for carpeted spaces with long drapes and a ceiling that doesn’t feature visible HVAC equipment. I like to go where you can hear your companion speak. I hate it when everyone must shout to be heard.

I will not eat fast food unless I’m traveling and have no choice. I usually avoid chain restaurants, too. My own cooking is superior to what I can get in most restaurants. I do not go to a restaurant just to eat, as I do not go to a bar just to drink. Again, I can drink whatever I want at home. When I go to a bar, it’s not for that.

I really appreciate a deluxe dining experience with beautiful, quiet surroundings and delicious, well-served food. If you don’t appreciate that, by all means, cook for yourself or hit a drive-thru.
