If anybody finds an error in my writing, please DO point it out. I will publicly thank you.

I take quality seriously and my goal is to post very good writing. But we all make mistakes. I can’t understand why anyone would object to having them politely pointed out. It’s like if I have spinach stuck between my teeth, I’d appreciate a friendly heads up.

Your attitude would never do in any newsroom, English department, advertising/marketing biz or anywhere else professional writers can be found.

If you are willing to put aside your ego, you’ll be a better writer.

You have multiple errors in this copy, and considering the topic, I’d assume you went over it carefully.

I get that not everyone here is a professional writer, but people do pay for their memberships and deserve our best efforts. Quality matters. If you’re going to post here, you really should be open to taking your writing seriously and that means a acceptance that you WILL miss things and your fellow writers can help you improve.

Not everyone here has worked as a professional writer. I don’t judge someone who is, for instance, obviously not writing in his or her native language but who has a compelling story to tell.

When I offer a correction, it’s because it’s someone I really believe will appreciate it because he or she takes writing seriously.

I invite you to think about this a different way. Humble yourself enough to accept constructive criticism. Or you can block me. Your choice.
