Ideally, we'd teach people not to care about such bullshit. Imagine a world in which people chose their clothing, shoes and water containers based on personal preference and kept using them until they wore out!

I feel deep pity for anybody living a life so shallow that they could deeply desire something just because it's been marketed a certain way.
