I’d still be a plane trip away from my grandchildren, which is to say I’d only see them once every few years. I’d miss their entire childhood.

And actually, it appears to take longer to fly from O'Hare to Aruba than O'Hare to Amsterdam. So this unfortunately would place us even further apart.
