I worked for GateHouse. I'm not a fan of them, but they didn't control what I wrote. They insisted I do a lot of stupid things like make sure my staff tweeted and posted and videoed specific numbers of times each week, but they honestly seemed not to care one bit about our coverage. That was up to me.
