I will take a therapist (educated and licensed) over a coach any day. I don't dispute that there could be coaches who do a good job, but buyer beware. I could call myself a coach tomorrow. My daughter got a master's degree and gets continuing education often. Also, at first, therapists are required to work with a more highly qualified and experienced therapist. Coaches have no obligation to do that. They can literally just wing it.
