I usually have high standards for TV, because I'm more of a reader. But during my husband's convalescence, we started watching this old British series called Midsommar Murders. Was it a great show? No, it was not. But I had been through a lot of shit and then my husband was off work and unable to do all the things he usually likes to do and I came to see this really predictable old show as a real comfort. We binged years worth of that show. Or if you still have high standards, we loved Endeavor. Also Dark. Also Bordertown. (Yes, lots of detective stuff and lots of foreign stuff. Husband couldn't do shit for six months. He's back on his feet now, thank goodness.)
