I use Google. I find that if there's a good answer on Medium, Google tends to find it, which I appreciate. But I don't use Medium to answer specific questions. I use it to explore. I use it to find thoughtful writers to follow. I use it to enjoy good writing, and when I say "good writing," I mean it in the sense your old English teacher meant it. This is where Medium really shines, and I am nervous that this sort of writing is being devalued in favor of wellness, life coaching, technical things, course-selling and the like. There's room for a lot of different types of content here. I dislike the word "content" because I'm here for the writing, not the content. I don't have a problem with promoting the content as long as we continue to value the writing.
